(Washington, D.C.) — As the new Administration and Congress explore ways to improve the health care system, the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) is launching a new campaign highlighting how pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) reduce prescription drug costs and protect consumers, employers, and government programs from high drug prices.

The campaign’s website—DrugBenefitSolutions.com—is a new platform explaining how PBMs reduce costs and how greater reliance on competition and PBM tools generate significant savings for public and private programs.

“Prescription drug benefits are complicated and there’s great interest in understanding how drug pricing really works. DrugBenefitSolutions.com is an important new resource for those who want to learn more,” said PCMA President and CEO Mark Merritt.
